Who doesn’t love bacon? Bacon is a gift from God. The pig, in and of itself, is not the prettiest thing to look at. It eats garbage and rolls around in mud. But what it lacks in hygiene and social skills, it makes up for in taste!

For years, I would fry bacon in a skillet or a griddle, and for years I would get popped by grease, deal with messy clean ups, and my house would smell like bacon for days. Not an entirely bad thing, if you ask me. But then one day, I heard someone talking about baking bacon in the oven. What?!

If you have never tried it, you have too. I will never go back to frying bacon the traditional way again. It’s quick, easy, and easy to clean up. Plus, you will always achieve flat, crispy bacon. Every time!

Heat oven to 400*

Take a cookie sheet and line it with aluminum foil. (TIP: I crinkle the foil by rolling it into a ball and then straightening it back out. This give the foil ridges to collect all the grease.)

Lay the bacon flat on the sheet and place in oven.

Cook for about 10 min. Keep an eye on it for the last couple of minutes. You can cook it longer if you need too.

Remove from oven, remove bacon and let cool on a plate.

Eat the sons of guns!

Clean up is a breeze. Once the grease has cooled, roll up the foil and throw it away! You’re done! You can also by uncured bacon and sprinkle with brown sugar, pepper corn, or whatever you like, to give it additional flavor.

What do you like to serve with bacon?

As always, thanks for reading and keep on rockin’!
